Thinking about making the move from the Bay Area to the Sacramento region? Here’s what I’ve personally noticed…
After spending years in both areas, there are some differences that stand out.
More home for your money – Buyers can often find larger homes, bigger yards, and neighborhoods with more value.
Less crowded parks – Weekend trips to the park feel more relaxing, with room for kids to play and families to enjoy the outdoors.
Less crowded grocery stores – Everyday errands are simply easier. Less time in traffic and shorter checkout lines make a difference.
Schools don’t feel as overcrowded – Many families appreciate the smaller-town feel and strong sense of community throughout the Sacramento region.
Lower utility bills – One of the biggest surprises for many homeowners is that monthly utility costs can be noticeably lower than what they were paying in parts of the Bay Area.
A slower pace without giving up convenience – You still have great restaurants, shopping, entertainment, outdoor recreation, and an international airport, but with less congestion and more time to enjoy life.
The Bay Area will always have a special place in my heart, but it’s easy to understand why so many families are choosing communities like Roseville, Rocklin, Folsom, Fair Oaks, Citrus Heights, Granite Bay, Rancho Cordova, and Elk Grove.
